The POST CATH unit is one of the intensive care units of this center in which patients are admitted prior/post angiography and angioplasty and will receive intensive care with precise monitoring.

The unit is located next to the angiography unit on the second floor of the hospital and is ready to provide care services with 8 active beds, including an isolated bed and a 24-hour central patient monitoring system with experienced nurses who are familiar with advanced angiography and related challenges and complications.

The facilities and equipment of this unit are as follows:

All beds are equipped with a modern heart-lung monitor
Each bed has 3 perfusions to facilitate the infusion of medications
Portable monitor
Ventilator device
Portable suction device
Electroshock device
Echocardiography device
Pacemaker generator device

Angiography patients are usually outpatients who will be discharged in the afternoon of the same day, while angioplasty patients are typically discharged after a day of hospitalization and receiving care in this unit. Besides, post cath patients are monitored 24-hour by a resident cardiologist.
