Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

The following sections together represent the neonatal unit of this hospital:
 
NICU Intensive Care:
Newborn babies with conditions or disorders like premature infants, apnea, necrotic intestinal colitis (NEC), diaphragmatic hernia, meconium aspiration, hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal seizures, congenital heart and respiratory problems and disorders, pyloric stenosis, amphalocelosis, encephalitis, particularly respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) and also those who need urgent mechanical respiration as well as special medical and nursing procedures, are admitted to this unit and receive the necessary medical care and treatment.
This section consists of 8 beds (unit), one of which is placed in the isolated room. Each unit includes a resuscitation bed and a ventilator, serum pump, syringe pump, medical phone ambobag, holder, hood, central oxygen suction, and Neopuff blender.
 
Healthy babies (WELL BABY):
In this section, newborns who are well and stable are admitted, and after a short period of monitoring the vital signs, airways, temperature, and stability, babies are transferred to their mothers in the gynecology ward.
 
Infants (POST NICU):
This section has 9 beds including the 6 incubators and 3 intensive beds. It also has 16 phototherapies lamps and an infant kat. Infant beds are equipped with an oxygen monitor, a central suction pump, and a serum pump. Infants with several conditions like jaundiced infants, infants with malnutrition, infants with decreased muscle tone, vomiting, severe diarrhea, etc. are admitted to this section.

These three sections together represent the neonatal unit and a neonatal and pediatrician specialist who is always present at the hospital, as well as a team of professional nurses, provides 24-hour support in these sections.
