The Endoscopy unit with the latest equipment available in the world is ready to provide high-quality services to outpatients and inpatients in a large and quiet environment. Physicians in this unit who are mostly gastroenterologists and pulmonologists, along with anesthesiologists, experienced nurses, and technicians conduct the most challenging (non-surgical) procedures.

This center with 3 operating rooms and 15 recovery beds equipped with cardiopulmonary monitoring as well as several beds for preoperative procedures has made it possible to admit a significant number of patients daily. The endoscopy unit admission is available for both outpatients and inpatients, in this regard, outpatients will be admitted directly through the appointments and the patients who are admitted on an outpatient basis will be discharged after the surgery with the recommendation of the treating physician.

The center offers services from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m to all types of patients including emergency and non-emergency patients, in other times, the personnel and on-call physicians in this unit are also available to provide emergency care services to patients.
In addition to gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and common diagnostic procedures, the endoscopy unit conducts advanced diagnostic procedures, therapeutic endoscopy procedures, and advanced endoscopic surgeries.
 
Diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures of Gastroenterology group:
  1. Polypectomy and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)
  2. GI Lumen Dilation/Stenting
  3. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
  4. Endoscopic therapy for achalasia
  5. Diagnostic endosonography, biopsy, and endosonographic stenting
  6. Endoscopic fundoplication for the treatment of reflux disease using EsophyX® device  
  7. Endoscopic treatment of reflux with radiofrequency (RF) waves using the Stretta device
  8. Esophageal and rectal manometry
  9. Anal biofeedback
  10. Esophageal pH test
  11. FibroScan of the liver (examination of fibrosis and fat, alternative to liver biopsy in many cases)
  12. PEG tube placement (to create a way of feeding in cases where oral feeding is not possible)
  13. Obesity balloon
  14. Removing foreign objects that are stuck in the digestive tract
  15. Stopping gastrointestinal bleeding from gastrointestinal ulcers and varicose veins
 
Diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures of Pulmonology group:
  • Bronchoscopy and common interventions during bronchoscopy (including biopsy, rinsing, removal of foreign bodies, etc.)
  • Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), which allows observation and needle biopsy of the airway (EBUS-TBNA)
  • Stenting inside the airways to relieve airway stenosis
  • Pleuroscopy to examine the pleural space and sampling of masses in this region and also pleural catheter placement
  • RF-assisted Bronchial thermoplasty (BT) to manage the severity of the disease in patients with advanced asthma, this is one of the newest methods of care in these patients, and this center is one of the first centers where this procedure has been successfully conducted.
  • RF radiation snoring treatment in the anatomical region at the core of the issue in the lower part of the throat
  • Destruction of lung tumors by Microwave ablation (MWA)
  • Cryobiopsy for Interstitial Lung Disease
  • Needle biopsy with sonography of the lymph nodes between the breasts (mediastinum)
  • Sleep test
  • Spirometry
