The most important lung and respiratory diseases that are diagnosed and treated in this center:

• Obstructive diseases including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, bronchiolitis
• Pulmonary circulatory disorders including pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary edema, vasculitis
• Pulmonary infections including tuberculosis, pneumonia, and lung abscess
• Tumors and malignancies of the lungs and respiratory tract
• Pleural diseases including accumulation of fluid or air in the pleura, infections, and tumors
• Interstitial lung disease including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), allergic pneumonia, and sarcoidosis
• Diseases caused by environmental and occupational factors
• Sleep apnea
• Respiratory failure and patients in need of mechanical ventilation and critical care

Diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures of pulmonology subspecialty group:

• Bronchoscopy and common interventions during bronchoscopy procedures (including biopsy, washing, removal of foreign bodies, etc.) 
• Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) allows observation and needle biopsy of airway mass (EBUS-TBNA) 
• Stenting in the airways to relieve airway stenosis 
• Pleuroscopy to analyze the pleural space and to sample the tumors in this area and also the placement of a pleural catheter. 
• One of the newest therapies is RF-assisted thermoplasty to manage the severity of the disease in patients with advanced asthma, and this center is one of the first centers where this procedure has been successfully conducted. 
• Treatment of snoring by RF radiation in the anatomical region The source of this issue is in the lower part of the throat. 
• Destruction of pulmonary tumors by microwave ablation 
• Cryobiopsy in interstitial lung diseases
